Arnaldi Defeats Tsitsipas in Four Sets

Arnaldi is the first Italian to win the Boys' Singles title at Roland Garros since 1987.

Matteo Arnaldi has won the Boys' Singles title at Roland Garros, defeating Stefanos Tsitsipas in four sets 7-6 (4), 4-6, 6-4, 6-3. Arnaldi is the first Italian to win the Boys' Singles title at Roland Garros since 1987.

The match was a close one, with both players trading breaks of serve throughout the match. Arnaldi was able to break Tsitsipas' serve in the first set, but Tsitsipas broke back in the second set. Arnaldi broke Tsitsipas' serve again in the third set, and he held on to win the set 6-4. In the fourth set, Arnaldi broke Tsitsipas' serve twice and held on to serve out the match.

Arnaldi's victory is a major upset, as Tsitsipas is one of the top-ranked junior players in the world. Arnaldi is now the highest-ranked Italian junior player, and he is expected to be a contender for the Junior Grand Slam title at Wimbledon next month.
