Exclusive: Katniss Pleads for Rebellion
Rebellion leader Katniss Everdeen makes a plea for rebellion in a new clip from "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1."
The clip, which was released exclusively to EW, shows Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) addressing the people of Panem after the events of "Catching Fire." Katniss has become a symbol of rebellion against the Capitol, and in the clip, she urges the people of Panem to join her in fighting for their freedom.
"We have to fight for our future. We have to fight for our children. We have to fight for ourselves," Katniss says in the clip. "We cannot let the Capitol win. We cannot let them take our freedom."
The clip offers a glimpse of the rebellion's plans for taking down the Capitol, and it also shows the personal toll that the war is taking on Katniss. "I know that many of you have lost loved ones," Katniss says. "I know that many of you are scared. But we cannot give up. We cannot let them win."
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 is set to hit theaters on November 21st, 2014.
