Eddie Hearn Explains Controversial 'KO' Jibe at Rival Promoter After Tensions Flare Before Joshua vs Dubois
Tempers reached a boiling point ahead of a highly anticipated boxing match.
Matchroom Boxing's Eddie Hearn and BOXXER's Ben Shalom have engaged in a verbal altercation before the upcoming event between Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois.
Hearn sparked the fire by using the term "KO," an abbreviation for knockout, in the form of a derogatory jibe at BOXXER.
The 'KO' Comment and Hearn's Justification
During an interview, Hearn stated that he aimed to "KO" BOXXER in their fight for boxing supremacy.
Hearn justified his statement by claiming that BOXXER is a "small company" and accused them of "trying to buy their way into the sport."
He further asserted that Matchroom is the "real deal" and has a "proven track record" in boxing.
